Gavriel Rosenberg, Executive Director, Lev LaLev
“I have served as the leader of Lev LaLev since 2005, upon the bidding of the Rebbe of Sanz-Klausenberg, who's father, z'tl, founded the Children's Home in 1961. I consider it my life's duty and responsibility to live up to the values set by the current and previous Rebbe's, whose mission it was and remains, to care for the less fortunate throughout Israel.”

Chaya Feuerman, LCSW-R, Director of Development, Lev LaLev

“From the day I arrived at Lev LaLev, I could not help but feel the sincerity and commitment of the Lev LaLev administration, to do everything possible, beyond the basics, for the girls at the Home. My personal goal is to strive to enable the fulfillement of the girls' physical, emotional and spiritual needs, to the best of my ability, as I do for my own children.”

Rabbi Mendy Schwartz, Executive Director, Rubin and Zeffren Children's Home

“In my capacity as director, I feel personally committed to forging the girls’ personalities so that they can set forth to meet the challenges of life having had a normal, healthy joyful childhood. This is why we are investing all the necessary resources that are required to do so, in terms of human as well as financial resources: a professional staff, each and everyone of whom considers our task as a mission of top importance. With such a feeling and attitude, the work seems something altogether different, and quite extraordinary in dedication. We must
emphasize also that the girls themselves feel as devoted to the goals, which has a tremendously positive effect on their development.”

Gitti Shmerler, Educational Director

“One of the things that make us special is the fact that everything is done to provide the girls with a feeling of living in a warm family. Even when there is unofficial giving, not funded by the social service authorities, such as undergraduate studies, or certain clothing past what is absolutely essential, we keep in touch with ‘our girls’ beyond the age of 18 as well.”

Gittit Gutotter, Psychologist

“The Rubin-Zeffren Children’s Home takes in the most difficult cases. We are dealing with very severe behavioral problems and disturbances. However, through unending unconditional love provided over a long term, in a gradual therapeutic treatment plan, we have had extremely high rates of success. Many times we also take in our residents’ younger sisters, as our main objective is to create a stable family feeling.”

Maya Allalouf, House Mother

“The staff gives individual attention to each girl, as the work takes place in small groups to give each girl many opportunities for development without getting lost in the crowd. What is very important to all of us in the Home is that each girl is a world unto herself, an individual with her own unique needs. We do the best that we can to fulfill those needs. The result is my strong ties to ‘my girls,’ so strong that sometimes people around me think that they are literally my own daughters.”

Shoshana Hershkovitz,
Social Worker

“I see each girl once or twice a week for a personal talk as well as for therapy, using different expressive means, such as play, art, drama, group work and other modes. We try to invest efforts in each girl way beyond the minimum so that they can live as normal lives as possible.”
